If YOU were the mommy… what rules would you make?
One little girl has had quite enough of broccoli for breakfast, itchy wool sweaters, and being sent to bed far too early. So she starts to imagine, what if SHE were the mommy? She’d throw dance parties every day, serve candy for breakfast, and banish homework forever! But when her brand-new rules start to go a little sideways (uh oh… those teeth!), she begins to realise that being a mommy is actually rather hard work – and that rules usually come from a place of love.
Anngri Arts is actually a family team – Dexter, Pavel, and Anna Gritsai – based in Bellevue, Washington. (And in case you were wondering, “Anngri” is short for ANNa GRItsai!) Between them, they bring a wonderful mix of journalism, character animation, graphic design, and computer science to their work, which is exactly why their picture books feel so carefully crafted, with engaging stories and bright, vibrant illustrations made to capture little minds and hearts.
