Ssshhh - because it's going to be a big surprise. Come along for more fun and join Snozzy McHooter Junior, Snozzerelina Ballerina and Snozzerella Bella Boo on this incredibly special day to give Great-Great-Grandad McHooter a surprise 90th birthday party. Let's hope Grandad doesnt loose his wallies (false teeth) in the haggis and tatties birthday cake! Great-Great-Grandad McHooter's Big Surprise 90th Birthday Party is the second book in "The Snozzeralls" series - an imaginative, educational way of teaching children the anatomy of the facial structures. A series of fun-packed children's books about the Snozzerall family and all their adventures!

About the author Karen Henton
Award winning Children's Author . "Meet the Snozzeralls" receives a Gold Medal in the Global book awards 2023.

My love for writing came about after making up bedtime stories for my youngest daughter Rebecca, nicknamed Boo who just didn’t like sleeping in her own bedroom.

The memorable cute and fun characters Snozzamuma, Snozzadada, Snozzerella Bella Boo, Snozzerelina Ballerina, Snozzy McHooter Junior, Great Great Grandad McHooter and Uncle McHooter Tooter are all based on family members and have been brought to life through the bright and bold illustrations. The fun, nonfiction STEM based children’s Picture book series teaches children about the structures in the human face and how a family called the Snozzeralls live there and all of their wacky adventures traveling through the inside of a human face..

When I'm not writing or researching the internet. I have a passion for scuba diving. Which I enjoy with my partner. It’s a little form of escapism from the real world. I can also be found in the kitchen making birthday cakes that I create with my own sometimes strange but unique style.

Writer of the week

Karyn Johnston

I'm Karyn, the creator behind Karyn Johnston: Creating Connections, Kindling Hope. I've crafted these notebooks with intention, filling them not just with pages, but with elements that spark joy and provoke thought—think flipbook animations, thematic jokes, affirmations, and enlightening facts.

Beyond the notebooks, there's a mission. A full 20% of our profits are channeled directly into causes I hold dear: ocean wildlife conservation, beach clean-ups, and particularly to Cansumbol Elementary School in the Philippines to assist underprivileged children with education . I'm equally committed to uplifting people with special needs and their families and fostering a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth.

My story's bit all over the place. I started acting in the Philippines by pure chance, then did some TV hosting. Having to switch gears when the pandemic came and ended up in tech recruiting. Now, I'm trying to get back to doing what I love- being creative.

But what really keeps me going is the chance to give back. I've always loved helping out, like volunteering in my sister's special needs class or giving away shoes to kids in the Philippines. I hope this brand takes off and allows me to do more of that, I want to spread joy, offer help, and create a ripple of hope. That's the dream.
