Leslie Gatewood

Leslie Gatewood is an American Sign Language (ASL) translator and reading tutor. She has worked in a school interpreting for a deaf child and transitioned to working fully online from 2022. Leslie has a passion for working with children and helping them expand their knowledge to have a brighter future. Her goal in life is to use her skills to help others around the world who are unable to hear, to communicate in a language they understand with resources such as the Bible.

Leslie graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Applied American Sign Language Studies. She loves to travel and experience new cultures. Her hobbies include dancing, going on walks outside, and reading mystery novels.

As a key member of our interpreting team, Leslie ensures that every story is fully accessible to all children. Her engaging and expressive ASL translations allow deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers to experience the joy and wonder of our stories, fostering an inclusive community where every child can learn and grow.
