Jose Jaramillo, a first-generation Mexican American, is a celebrated author known for his captivating children’s adventure books. Born and raised in the Central Valley of California, Jaramillo’s early years were marked by a blend of cultural richness and the challenges of a hard working immigrant family.
Jaramillo’s academic journey led him to the University of California, Davis, where he pursued a major in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. A severe sports injury left him disabled, abruptly ending his career aspirations and altering the course of his life.
He redirected his energy to creativity and the realm of imagination. Embracing his new path, Jaramillo discovered a passion for storytelling, particularly in crafting engaging and adventurous narratives for children.
Today, Jose Jaramillo is a beloved figure in children’s literature, known for his ability to weave tales that resonate with young minds and hearts. Jaramillo continues to live in the Central Valley, where he writes, drawing inspiration from the community and landscape that shaped his early life.
